This skirt panel is embellished with hand embroidery in a variety of stitches in cotton thread on a hand woven cotton ground fabric. Mirror work is incorporated in the embroidery. The fabric was once a skirt and has been unpicked. There is evidence of gathering and stitched at the top edge. It dates from the 1960's. This panel woould look wonderful mounted on a stretcher and used as a long wall hanging. The hanging depicts traditionali mages including the green parrots of Gujarat There is some staining in the top section
