I recently had the incredible opportunity to return to India, a true paradise for anyone who loves textiles!

I spent two amazing days with Studio Bagru, diving into the fascinating art of block printing with hands-on training. We explored the world of artisans, met a talented block carver, discovered how dyes are crafted, and marvelled at the communal grounds where vibrant, colourful fabrics are laid out to dry each day.

There's nothing quite like attempting an artisan's craft yourself to truly appreciate their skill.

I was thrilled to experiment with various techniques using a range of blocks, fabrics, and dyes.

It was an absolutely enjoyable experience that led to a deeper understanding of the intricate processes of block printing.
