Barnunb (stingray) and Myoord (Fishtrap) by Cecilia Tigan

The base fabric is 'blush' coloured linen  and it is a three-colour print with white, dark blue and pink details.

Cecilia says of her design "On my Mayala Country (The Dampier Peninsula, north of Rubibi, Broome), we use myoord (fish traps) to catch all kinds of seafood. They are made from huge rocks, filling in the gaps with smaller rocks, making walls that follow the tidal lines so that when the big tides go back out, the seafood is trapped in the smaller pools created by the rock walls. This barnunb (stingray) is one of the fish we catch and eat."
