This  hand-embroidered shawl is embroidered in kantha stitch in the traditional style of West Bengal,  India.  The backing fabric of blue silk georgette cream tussah silk  is entirely hand-embroidered with floral designs in cream .
 
This embroidery could also be used as a bed throw or a wall hanging.
 
It could also be worn as a floaty oversized shawl or knotted as a skirt.
